How does Micro-needling work?
Microneedling facial and body treatments consist of creating micro-injuries in the skins dermal layers for up to 2mm. Non-medical micro-needling will force the body to increase collagen and elastin fibres in areas with little cellular activity. As a result, the skin will be fuller and with a healthier appearance.
What skin conditions can we treat?
Microneedling treatments at our beauty clinics in Montreal and Laval are known to produce the quickest results for acne scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, pore size, skin texture and stretch marks.
What will my skin look like after therapy?
In general, you will experience mild swelling and redness in the treated area. These effects will last you 48 hours. Following these two post-op days, your skin will slightly start to shed dead cells and an old layer of dried skin. After ten days, your skin will be visibly smoother and more radiant.
What is the process like?
Microneedling appointments begin with a full skin analysis followed by cleaning and preparing the skin. A numbing agent or topical cream will be applied to enhance your experience and eliminate any sensitivity during treatment. A micro-needling pen will then be passed on the area in various techniques depending on the condition that is treated. During this process, vitamin C, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid formulations will be applied to nourish, hydrate and protect your skin.
What is the downtime?
Although micro-needling is a non-invasive procedure, temporary side-effects may appear. For example, you may experience inflammation, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and dehydrated skin. After your appointment, it is crucial to follow the instructions of your esthetician and hydrate with hyaluronic acid serum and creams.
Our Beauty professionals in Montreal and Laval recommend that you protect your skin at all times. Whenever you go outside, it is a MUST to apply SPF 30 +.
You may apply makeup after 48 hours. However, you must cleanse your face with a super gentle cleanser every night and every morning.
Skin rejuvenation results will be apparent two weeks after the procedure or as much as two months later. We can only ensure you the best possible experience in terms of quality, hygiene and effective methods.
What are the Benefits?
Benefits for getting a micro-needling facial include stimulating blood circulation, collagen production and helps penetrate topical cosmetics. Microneedling works on all skin types and body areas, providing a versatile solution for all dermal imperfections.
Is micro-needling painful?
As mentioned, our service provider will apply a numbing cream Prior to the treatment. Numbing cream will reduce the pain level to zero, and all you will feel is a mild tingling or heat sensation.
How many sessions do i need?
Everyone’s skin is different, and the treatment process will depend on your specific situation. Minor scars and blemishes will disappear in 1 session. However, we recommend that all clients undertake three appointments to complete treatment.
